ENCHANTED FOREST

So usually I wouldn’t post pictures that are from another season, but I thought that these photographs just shouldn’t go to waste. Even though it’s still pre fall, summer seems to end any time now and we will feel the well known chilliness and smell of fallen leaves. Honestly I think that fall already started here in Edinburgh… I’m living on a north pole if you ask me.

WHEN DENIM MEETS KHAKI

Maybe it’s because of Skins, that I’m currently watching, but I found myself wanting to wear something a bit more edgy and rock’n’roll.

BEAUTY

MY SKINCARE ROUTINE

Skincare and beauty for me is like a whole other passion. It started way back when I was a teenager, probably when I was around 13 years old that I became more aware of products I put on me. Back then I didn’t really realise what I should look for in order to help my problematic skin.

BLACK LEATHER

Not sure what to wear in summer when the temperature drops by half, and from 30 Celsius degrees it goes down to 16? One word: blazer. The thicker fabric, the better.

DOLCE VITA

How to feel as if you’re in Italy in your hometown? It’s summer, so the weather is settled. What about everything else? Well, all you need is to sit in an outdoor cafe, ask the waiter with the most tacky italian accent while gesticulating too much: Io prendo la torta e caffè. Don’t worry if the waiter looks at you like you’re completely insane. Play ‘Dolce Vita’ by Ryan Paris on your headphones and say a loud and dragged grazie! to the waiter as he/she is putting your cappuccino and a little cake on the table. Sip on the foam in order to have the true italian cappuccino-foam-mustache.

FLUORESCENCE

Flourescence… it’s an interesting thing. When it comes to fashion, neon clothes or accessories don’t always look right, sometimes they just make you look a bit kitsch or tacky. What you pair it with makes the whole difference.

INTO THE WILD

While in the country of a blooming cherry, we visited Nara, Japan’s first capital city. It is very buddhism oriented. I instantly fell in love with this place: with its beautiful temples, one of the biggest statue of Buddha, parks and of course… the deers!

LOST IN TRANSLATION

I remember when I first saw the movie by Sofia Coppola; “Lost In Translation”, with polish subtitles on a car ride. The limiting circumstances didn’t stop me to completely fall in love with this cinema, its atmosphere, music and Tokyo it’s set in. I’ve always been fascinated with asian culture, especially chinese and japanese, but I think this film triggered my strong passion to travel there as soon as possible. Boy, was it worth it.
