While we were in Amsterdam, we obviously wanted to do a photoshoot for a blog, however, the weather conditions didn’t allow us to make an outdoor session, so instead we thought we could actually do one in our hotel and it turned out pretty good.

We visited Amsterdam mainly because of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) Open Day, which I wanted to go to since I’m planning to move out of Edinburgh after I finish my studies and continue fashion design somewhere else. The school is amazing and looks like a museum. It was indeed a great experience to visit it. But of course, our trip didn’t end on that, we went to Rembrandt’s House and Van Gogh Museum, tried their famous Dutch fries, spelt flour bagels and so on. We didn’t go to Anne Frank Museum because it was extremely busy, which makes me sad since I read her book, but I’m saving this for our next visit to Amsterdam.

It was very cold when we arrived and rain accompanied us the whole trip, so we did this photoshoot indoors in Jaz hotel, which is very stylish and modern. I wore my new faux fur and velvet briefcase to a very simple, yet elegant outfit – white blouse with basque, pastel grey pants and neutral coloured sneakers. In terms of jewellery, I went for a simple yet beautiful pearl necklace I got from my auntie for my 18th birthday and blue leather bracelet with golden details.
